Private Property Towing Service Agreement terms

Property-specific services: Soot Happens Towing & Recovery will provide towing and related services only for the property identified in this agreement and according to the service selections above.

Term and renewal: The agreement is in effect for one year beginning on the effective date and ending on the expiration date. It renews annually for additional one-year terms unless written notice of cancellation is received within 30 days of the annual expiration date.

Towing charges: The Property Owner/Agent is not responsible for towing charges related to vehicle removal, including impound, storage, DMV and administrative fees. Those charges are the responsibility of the registered vehicle owner.

Signs, permits and other materials: If Soot Happens supplies permits, signs or another service/product outside the impound services and the agreement is terminated before the termination date, the Property Owner/Agent is responsible for reimbursement for the cost of time and materials provided.

Insurance and complaints: Soot Happens agrees to maintain motor vehicle insurance meeting or exceeding applicable Commonwealth of Virginia towing requirements and to address applicable consumer complaints for resolution.

Authorized calls: Property Manager/Authorized Personnel are required to call in vehicles or special situations. Residents may request removal from assigned/reserved spaces only when that service is authorized above and the resident provides a signature authorizing the removal.

Notices: Agreement-related notices may be delivered in writing to the addresses provided by the parties or another address later designated in writing.

After submission: The completed agreement is sent to Soot Happens dispatch for review, and a printable PDF copy is emailed to the signer. The agreement is not fully executed until Soot Happens reviews and accepts/countersigns the agreement.
